Ruqayyah oud 15ml
The Story of Oud Ruqayyah ...
On the 7th of March 2021, we were blessed with a most precious and cherished gift. All praise and glory belong solely to Him. She is our beloved Ruqayyah.
I chose this name for its profound and majestic meanings—charming, graceful, elevated, refined, gentle, beautiful, protected, and destined to rise. Attributes I pray will blossom within her character and flourish in her legacy. Ameen.
From the moment she entered our lives, I was inspired to leave her something timeless—something she could not only hold in her hands but feel in her soul. And so, Oud Ruqayyah was born.
The journey begins with the regal queen of flowers—the rose. Sourced from the heart of India, this pure and unadulterated rose is among the most treasured in perfumery, rare and difficult to obtain in its truest form. I sought only the finest, for she deserved nothing less.
Following this is the intoxicating jasmine, a flower that blooms with courage even in the harshest seasons. Its sweet, enduring fragrance speaks of patience and perseverance—reminding us that after hardship comes ease. May she too, in moments of trial, embody patience and move forward with unwavering determination.
At the heart rests saffron—zafran, as it is known in paradise—an essence as rare and precious as she is. Its golden strands, the most valuable spice in the world, symbolise purity, rarity, and light.
Then comes the warm embrace of sandalwood—creamy, woody, and luxuriously rich. Revered as one of perfumery’s most beloved notes, it carries an elegance that lingers with quiet strength, enveloping all it touches.
As the scent settles, its creaminess deepens—lush, dreamy, and utterly fulfilling—like a comforting memory.
The base is where the composition takes its majestic final form: an opulent blend of Malaysian, Cambodian, and Hindi oud; rare grey ambergris; and the noble Tonkin deer musk. Each is pure, unadulterated, and naturally sublime. Together, they form a foundation of strength and completeness—a fragrance that ends as it should, with dignity and grace, just as we pray for a husnul khatima, a blessed ending to life’s journey.
