Oud Ertugrul
Oud Ertugrul 30ml Extrait
First thoughts: Succulent. Royal succulence. Delectable violet noir. Oud… Ertugrul.
Thick, lush berry pulp rolled into a cigar. Violet iris brewed with orange blossom and a dash of thyme and… imagine purple sumac syrup stirred into a creamy potion of mimosa steeped in sandalwood.
This is a delectable creamy berried oud brew that smells every bit as regal as Oud Sultani. The scent screams royal, with its succulent opening wafts that remind you of the same liqueur-like blue-purple sultry sparkle you smell in an aged jasmine-infused ghalia or the exquisite royal piquant flavor vintage Myitkyina oud : Taifi rose mélanges (eg. Mélange Royale) makes you drool over – except, in here there’s a lot more going on…
“Shocked every time I use this. I tried many other Borneo oils, and none have this unique profile.” – Muhammad A / USA on the neat oud.
Oud Ertugrul was a beast of an oud bursting with all that floral berry cake bliss. That’s why, as far as scent goes, this spray edition is replete – because it captures a lot.

It’s a perfumer’s perfume. Just as the neat oud made distillers wonder how such a galaxy of a scent was coaxed from raw agarwood, this perfume will make you note-pick and pick and pick all while making your nose buds salivate from those bursts of creamy berry floral OUDness.
I’m gonna give this some time and see (maybe towards the end of the year?) if this goes down as the most addictive EO perfume…
… Because that’s what it’s been at the atelier – a spray after spray affair, as you walk around while bubbles of purple oud berries pop mid-air spraying oud juice into the air; oud juice of this creamy floral raspberry sort that makes you spray and spray again.
“Mmmmmm… a fat swipe smelling like a sweet thick vanilla Borneo flower garden with Kyara heaters gently heating some Kinam!!!”
Capturing the Oud Ertugrul profile in spray form means honing in on orris root drunk on vanilla, that icing of blueberry cheesecake infused with mimosa and cypress. And, of course that kyara powdery tone; that raspberry cinnamon cloaked in the soft sweet smokiness of heated beccariana.
